A Timetable That Survives Monday

How to assign lessons, rooms and teachers so clashes show up before the term starts, not in the first period on Monday.

Start from the constraints

List double lessons, lab rooms and teachers who also have a duty. Put those in first. The ordinary single lessons are easier to move later.

One teacher, one room, one class

A clash is the same teacher, the same room or the same class booked twice. Check that before you print anything for the staffroom.

Publish where people already look

Teachers need the week on their phone. Parents and learners need the class timetable in the portal, not a photo of a noticeboard.

Change it in one place

When a teacher is out, update the lesson once. Reprinting a spreadsheet version that nobody trusts is how Monday goes wrong.
